Asthma A Respiratory Disorder

Asthma is a respiratory disorder characterized by frequent wheezing, labored breathing, sense of chest congestion and frequent attacks of coughing and gasping. It is a disease of the respiratory system in which the airways narrow down often in response to a trigger meaning exposure to cold air, exercise, allergen or emotional stress. These symptoms of asthma can range from mild to life threatening and can be controlled by drugs and separate lifestyle changes.

This disorder is a chronic inflammatory condition in which the airways develop increased responsiveness to various stimuli and are characterized typically by bronchial hyper-responsiveness, increased mucus production, intermittent airway obstruction and frequent inflammation.

Benefits And Dangers Of Deep Breathing

Optimal deep breathing increases our vitality and promotes relaxation. Unfortunately, when we try to take a so-called deep breath, most of us do the exact opposite: we “take a breath” suck in our bellies and raise our shoulders. This is shallow breathing as measured by volume as it tries to access air from the high chest where there is to little to no lung volume

When our breathing is full and deep, and mostly in the lower thorax, the belly, lower ribcage and lower back where most of the lung volume resides, should all expand in a full circle on inhalation, thus allowing the diaphragm to drop down deeper into the abdomen, front, side and back. Then it retracts on exhalation, allowing the massaging action of the diaphragm to move fully upward toward the heart. This is healthy deep breathing.

Most so called deep abdominal breathing results in deep effortful breathing and is not always really breathing deeply. It can actually be harmful or exacerbate existing, undetected, unbalanced, dysfunctional breathing. Deep breathing when done incorrectly will cause accessory breathing muscles to engage. These muscles should not be anything but supportive. Like the shaft of an elevator should guide the elevator but not cause it to go up and down.

Indoor Air Pollution – It is not a Myth

If you were asked to name a region that contains an enormous amount of air pollution, what would come to mind? More than likely, you would think of heavily polluted metropolitan centers like Beijing or Los Angeles. Actually, you dont have to look at large scale cities to see significant pollution. This is because large quantities of air pollution already exist inside your own home. No, the pollution is not in the form of industrial chemicals. Common, average, everyday matter and items have the potential to create a home health hazard. That is why it is important to be on the lookout for problematic components that create a number of pollution related problems.

What common items can create a safety hazard inside the home? Believe it or not, something a seemingly benign as dust can create a hazard. If dust collects to the point its presence is so thick, the occupants are ingesting it when they breathe, something must be done as soon as possible. It is never a good thing to inhale pollutants. When collected in high enough volumes, the presence of dust in the air is not good for the occupants safety.

Mold is another problem that presents itself when without warning. Even if you clean your kitchen or bathroom regularly, mold may collect in small quantities. If you are not thorough in cleaning these rooms, a huge mold outbreak can occur. Much like dust, mold can present a number of respiratory hazards when its presence reaches high enough volumes. So, when cleaning the rooms is not enough, it becomes necessary to purchase a humidifier to completely rid the room of said mold.

Can Zenerx Damage Your Heart And Respiratory System

More and more adults are turning to herbal remedies to cure sexual dysfunction. Herbal supplement sales overall generate more than $20 billion a year, according to a study by the European Commission. Its easy to see why. Herbal remedies have been used for centuries, plus theyre cheaper than synthetic prescription drugs.

The problem is that theyre not always safer.

In fact, the US government and top experts have a dirty dozen list of 12 supplements they consider dangerous. Amazingly, these supplements are still allowed to be sold, usually without warning labels!

You can see that all factors are related to humidity either directly or indirectly.

Places that have greater level of humidity promote the growth of fungi and mold. Sometimes water pipes in your homes leak and they increase the level of moisture in your home.
